A free music celebration!
Make Music Edmonton follows a French tradition called “Fête de la Musique”. It began in Paris many years ago, and since, musicians offer free music on the streets every summer solstice. This popular event promotes live music, both amateur and professional, of all styles and genres. The Make Music day is as often as possible an outdoor event taking place in streets, squares, etc…
The Fête de la Musique has became the first global live music event, known in the Alberta’s capital as the « Make Music Edmonton » event!
For the 5th year, the Alliance française of Edmonton, in partnership with the 124th Street Business Association proposes the concept of the Fête de la musique in Edmonton: Make Music Edmonton! On June 21st, come and enjoy free lives performances all along the 124th Street.
Held annually on the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice, June 21.
